You say that you 'found' religion....oops 'religion' found you. That is interesting. If you have the spirit of Jesus in your heart....you wouldn't be so quick to judge, criticize, question, and offer advice to people who live and have lived with the affects of the boarding schools. It isn't too hard to figure out transgenerational trauma... behaviors, etc that have been passed on from generation to generation. I can sit down and next to each of my ancestors names...from 4 generations ago.... list: suicide, severe depression, alcoholism, self-mutilation, abuse, cruelty, etc.... ...and I MEAN each and every ones name...including myself. I am the 3rd person in my family to actually come to realize that we need to break that vicious cycle that has been passed on over and over .... I remember visiting my great-aunts in a mental institution. There, they were subjected to electro-convulsive shock therapy (ECT) -- experimental treatments, because they didn't know what to do w/them. My aunts would go thru periods where they would quit talking, and eating. One of my great-aunts would buy a gallon jug of Rhine wine and drink the whole damn thing in one sitting...in the middle of the kitchen--talking to herself the whole time. Now, I know that they were suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It isn't hard to figure out after all of the physical, sexual and emotional abuse that my ancestors went through and lived, why they would self-destruct: drink, do drugs, self-mutilate..etc....to cover up the pain and the SHAME that they felt inside. If you REALLY had a dab of Native American blood in you like you say you do....you would not be defending the government and their stupid scientific studies on Native Americans and their alcoholism...it is just another way that the government is trying to cover their asses. IF you had Native blood in you--you would be DARNED proud of it. Also, go to a Native American to find out your facts and get your sources from them. Any smart person would never believe the 'white man's' history on the Native American. Read the stuff that Native American's wrote....more credible than the 'white man's' word don't you think? Also.... DO NOT tell me that I am not giving the true facts. I think I know a little bit more than you do about the boarding school in Michigan ...I grew up there. Just because you looked up stuff on the internet doesn't mean it is always the truth.
